We preserve and protect the nature with our orchards and wild meadows. We have planted 532 trees, this is our family tradition. With one hectare of third-generation family orchards, two hectares of land with wild meadows and a piece of forest that are essential for our ecosystem. Our orchards contain 532 trees – 439 fruit and 32 nut trees: plum, wild pear, apple, quince, cherry, fig, hazelnut and walnut trees. The trees are between 10, 20 and 70 years old. That is a total area of 30, 000 m².The rural life is a part of my life next to my urban one. With my rural background, the old knowledge of my father and past generations, we promote biodiversity in rural and urban areas and protect wild nature.
Wir bewahren und schützen die Natur mit unseren Streuobstwiesen und Wildwiesen. Wir haben 532 Bäume gepflanzt, das ist unsere Familientradition. Mit einem Hektar Streuobstwiesen in dritter Generation, zwei Hektar Land mit Wildwiesen und einem Stück Wald, die für unser Ökosystem unerlässlich sind. Unsere Streuobstwiesen umfassen 532 Bäume - 439 Obst- und 32 Nussbäume: Pflaumen, Wildbirnen, Äpfel, Quitten, Kirschen, Feigen, Haselnüsse und Walnüsse. Die Bäume sind zwischen 10, 20 und 70 Jahre alt. Das ist eine Gesamtfläche von 30.000 m². Das rurale Leben ist ein Teil meines Lebens neben dem urbanen Leben. Mit meiner ruralen Herkunft, dem alten Wissen meines Vaters und vergangener Generationen fördern wir die Artenvielfalt in ruralen und urbanen Gebieten und schützen die wilde Natur.

We promote biodiversity with our orchards. Orchards connect the future, the present and the past. We often take over fruit trees from previous generations, which they planted before us, and leave them to the next generation. Orchards are a real treasure of biodiversity. The preservation and protection of old orchard meadows and the maintenance of new plants is an important part of nature protection. Up to 5,000 animal and plant species can be found in this valuable habitat. A hotspot of biodiversity. They are not only the last habitats for rare insects and bird species. But also for old varieties such as the wild plum. Our orchard meadows are cared naturally, which means they are not fertilized and are mowed once or twice a year. With šnaps for friends we preserve orchards and the family tradition with a small production of fruit brandy with the next generation.
Wir fördern die Artenvielfalt durch unsere Streuobstwiesen. Streuobstwiesen verbinden die Zukunft, die Gegenwart und die Vergangenheit. Oft übernehmen wir Obstbäume von früheren Generationen, die sie vor uns gepflanzt haben, und überlassen sie der nächsten Generation. Streuobstwiesen sind ein wahrer Schatz der Artenvielfalt. Die Erhaltung und der Schutz alter Streuobstwiesen und die Pflege von Neupflanzungen sind ein wichtiger Bestandteil des Naturschutzes. Bis zu 5.000 Tier- und Pflanzenarten sind in diesem wertvollen Lebensraum zu finden. Ein Hotspot der Artenvielfalt. Sie sind nicht nur die letzten Lebensräume für seltene Insekten und Vogelarten. Sondern auch für alte Sorten wie die Wildpflaume. Unsere Streuobstwiesen werden natürlich gepflegt, das heißt, sie werden nicht gedüngt und ein- bis zweimal im Jahr gemäht. Mit šnaps für Freunde erhalten wir unsere Streuobstwiesen und die Familientradition mit einer kleinen Obstbrandproduktion in der nächsten Generation.
#2 Wild meadows with wild edible plants & herbs to preserve and protect our nature
With our wild meadows we preserve and protect our nature. Originally, in the fourth generation, our land was used to grow wheat for baking bread. With the savings, further land was bought continuously. The fields are resting for a few years and are not being cultivated anymore.​ The fields in total of 20,000 m² are since years wild meadows. Wild meadows that have been created naturally. All around there are also many edible wild plants such as the stinging nettle, goutweed, wild mint and wild carrot. We are in the process to research and document the wild plant species found there and to buy more land and wild meadows to help them spread naturally.
Mit unseren Wildwiesen, Wildkräutern und -pflanzen erhalten und schützen wir unsere Natur. Ursprünglich, in der vierten Generation, wurde unser Land für den Anbau von Weizen zum Brotbacken genutzt. Mit den Ersparnissen wurde immer wieder weiteres Land hinzugekauft. Die Felder ruhen seit einigen Jahren und werden nicht mehr bewirtschaftet. Die Felder mit insgesamt 20.000 m² sind seit Jahren Wildwiesen., die auf natürliche Weise entstanden sind. Rundherum gibt es auch viele essbare Wildpflanzen wie die Brennnessel, Giersch, wilde Minze und wilde Möhre.. Wir sind dabei, die dort vorkommenden Wildpflanzenarten zu erforschen und zu dokumentieren und mehr Land und Wildwiesen zu kaufen, um ihre natürliche Ausbreitung zu fördern.
#3 Orchard and wild meadows for bees
Around our orchards and in the former fields are the wild meadows. Wild meadows are important for bees and other insects. Bees are essential to our ecosystem. As pollinators of many plants, they provide much of our food and biodiversity. Orchards are a paradise for bees and other insects. They have enough food all year round them. In spring, the fruit trees are the first food of the year. Then the flowers of the wild meadow follow, which offer a rich supply of different pollen and nectar until autumn. In autumn, when the last meadow flowers have faded, the bees feed on the fruits of the trees.
Rund um unsere Streuobstwiesen und auf den ehemaligen Feldern befinden sich die Wildwiesen. Wildwiesen sind wichtig für Bienen und andere Insekten. Bienen sind für unser Ökosystem unverzichtbar. Sie sichern als fleißige Bestäuber vieler Pflanzen einen Großteil unserer Nahrung und die Artenvielfalt. Streuobstwiesen sind ein Paradies für Bienen und andere Insekten. In unseren Streuobstwiesen finden Bienen das ganze Jahr über genügend Nahrung. Im Frühjahr sind die Obstbäume die erste Nahrung des Jahres. Dann folgen die Blüten der Blumenwiese, die bis zum Herbst ein reiches Angebot an verschiedenen Pollen und Nektar bieten. Im Herbst, wenn die letzten Wiesenblumen verblüht sind, ernähren sich die Bienen von den Früchten der Bäume.
