Venezia Water Life šnapshots exhibits moments with the water in the city from 12/13 Nov 2019. For a new, contemporary way of thinking with more mindfulness and love for our nature and the environment to avoid the further rise of the water.
The exhibition shows memory fragments from 12/13 November 2019, the most extreme high tide since 1966 in the context of climate change. It presents an engaging visual narrative of an extreme event to feel and understand a story that connects environment and society.
With Venice and the rising water, we see the future of all our cities if we don't do more to protect the climate.
... Living with water in Venice is a part of life for Venetians. As soon as the water rises, the sirens can be heard throughout the city. How often and how long the sounds are heard is a sign of how high the water will rise. Every time you hear the sirens, your heart stops a little. And, when the water covers Venice at a height that is so surreal, a piece of your heart breaks every time. You fight for the survival of the city, and love is felt deep in your soul. Venetians wait with serenity and calm until the water sinks again, and they can clean and dry their restaurants, cafés, shops and flats. Living with the water is part of their life ...

The exhibition encourages a new, contemporary way of thinking, acting and living in order to do more for our environment and to protect it with natural laundry drying.

... In the districts where the Venetians live, it is exceptionally quiet. The alleys are relaxed, and you can see the residents and the neighbourhood from time to time talking, shopping, going to work, or bringing their children from or to school, as well as numerous of students meeting in the cafés to drink an espresso and exchange ideas. In these districts, the freshly washed laundry of the Venetians blows in front of most of the windows on numerous clothes lines with clothe pegs attached. The clothes lines are fascinatingly connected from one house to the other, and the laundry hangs on them like art, like an installation or a performance. They move with the wind, and you are so fascinated by the sight, the simplicity and the traditional origins that it triggers an unbelievable feeling of wellbeing and admiration ...

Venezia Water Life šnapshots zeigt Momente mit dem Wasser in der Stadt vom 12/13 Nov 2019. Für eine neue, zeitgemäße Denkweise mit mehr Achtsamkeit und Liebe für unsere Natur und die Umwelt, um den weiteren Anstieg des Wassers zu verhindern.
Die Ausstellung zeigt Erinnerungsfragmente vom 12./13. November 2019, dem extremsten Hochwasser seit 1966 im Kontext des Klimawandels. Sie präsentiert eine fesselnde visuelle Erzählung eines extremen Ereignisses, um eine Geschichte zu fühlen und zu verstehen, die Umwelt und Gesellschaft miteinander verbindet.
Mit Venedig und dem steigenden Wasser sehen wir die Zukunft all unserer Städte, wenn wir nicht mehr für den Klimaschutz tun.
...Das Leben mit dem Wasser in Venedig gehört für die Venezianer zum Leben dazu. Sobald das Wasser steigt, sind die Sirenen in der ganzen Stadt zu hören. Wie oft und wie lange die Töne zu hören sind, ist ein Zeichen dafür, wie hoch das Wasser steigen wird. Jedes Mal, wenn man die Sirenen hört, bleibt einem das Herz ein wenig stehen. Und wenn das Wasser Venedig in einer Höhe bedeckt, die so surreal ist, bricht es einem jedes Mal ein Stück vom Herzen. Man kämpft um das Überleben der Stadt, und man spürt die Liebe tief in der Seele. Die Venezianer warten mit Gelassenheit und Ruhe, bis das Wasser wieder sinkt und sie ihre Restaurants, Cafés, Geschäfte und Wohnungen reinigen und trocknen können. Das Leben mit dem Wasser ist ein Teil ihres Lebens...

Die Ausstellung regt zu einer neuen, zeitgemäßen Art des Denkens, Handelns und Lebens an, um mit natürlichem Wäschetrocknen mehr für unsere Umwelt zu tun und sie zu schützen.
Venedig als Modellstadt für die Zukunft in allen Städten für das natürliche Trocknen von Wäsche zum Schutz unserer Natur.
... In den Vierteln, in denen die Venezianer leben, ist es außergewöhnlich ruhig. Die Gassen sind entspannt, und man sieht die Bewohner und die Nachbarschaft von Zeit zu Zeit sich unterhalten, einkaufen und zur Arbeit gehen oder ihre Kinder von oder zur Schule bringen, sowie zahlreiche Studenten, die sich in den Cafés treffen, um einen Espresso zu trinken und Ideen auszutauschen. In diesen Vierteln weht die frisch gewaschene Wäsche der Venezianer vor den meisten Fenstern an zahlreichen Wäscheleinen, an denen Wäscheklammern befestigt sind. Die Wäscheleinen sind auf faszinierende Weise von einem Haus zum anderen verbunden, und die Wäsche hängt an ihnen wie Kunst, wie eine Installation oder eine Performance. Sie bewegen sich mit dem Wind, und man ist so fasziniert von dem Anblick, der Einfachheit und dem traditionellen Ursprung, dass es ein unglaubliches Gefühl des Wohlbefindens und der Bewunderung auslöst ...
